You do not need to be registered with The Dove Medical Practice to access these services but you must have a Birmingham postcode — appointments are available for anyone living in the local area.

Our trained clinicians can discuss all contraceptive options and help you decide what’s right for you.
Appointments are available for:
- Coil (IUD/IUS) fitting or removal
- Contraceptive implant fitting or removal
- Contraception reviews and general family planning support
All consultations are completely confidential.
💬 What to Expect
A pregnancy test may be offered if there’s any chance of pregnancy before fitting.
Your appointment will usually last around 20-30 minutes.
You’ll be able to discuss your contraceptive options, ask any questions, and have your chosen method fitted or removed (if clinically appropriate).
You may be asked about your medical history, medications, and allergies.
