Nursing Team

We have practice nurses who perform tasks under the direction of the doctors. They also run health promotion clinics in conjunction with the doctors.

Appointments with them can be made by asking reception.

Some tasks performed by the nurses can only be done after the patient has seen the doctor and others can only be done when there is a doctor on the premises. These rules are for your safety.

Clinical Team

We work in close liaison with the following health care professionals, though they are not employed by the practice. Several of these run or help with clinic sessions at the practice, such as District Nurse, Community Midwife, Health Visitors and Physiotherapy.

The Dove Medical Practice has a Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager and Reception Lead

 Admin/Reception

Secretaries and clerical staff do a lot of behind the scenes administrative work which keeps the practice running smoothly. All of our receptionists are trained to deal with your needs. They make appointments, take messages, including visit requests. The receptionists will sometimes ask for details of your condition in order to book you with the correct clinician. Such information is dealt with in complete confidence. Please be patient with them, they are trying to keep everyone happy.
