Patients’ Participation Group

We are trying to get Dove patients more engaged with the practice.  To that end we have formed a Patients Participation Group.  The group has met on a number of occasions and has planned its first two actions:

• To write to all patients with information on the changes to the practice
• To prepare a patients’ questionnaire

We are also conscious that the Dove is not on a bus route and many of you struggle to get to the surgery.  So high on our list of things to do is to try to raise sufficient funds to buy a Dove Ambulance to ferry patients to and from the practice and to possibly to make routine rune to local hospitals.

We need your support and if you can spare us some time we need patients of all ages and background so that we properly represent the whole patient group. 

Who knows we may even run to a biscuit at the meetings if we get enough people!!

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff. 

To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
